  1. I would say the other scientists, due to the fact that Al Gore is a celeb. and that's reason he is getting all credit!

  2. That is like saying Columbus discovered America ,while it had been there all the time.

  3. He deserves zero credit for the discovery or the science.  And he'll tell you so.

His contribution has been getting people to understand that this is a serious problem.  Since it's based on numbers, rather than in your face phenomena, that was an accomplishment.

By the way global warming was "discovered" in 1898, and became widely accepted in the scientific community well before Gore's movie.

  4. He didn't discover it, nor has he said he did. He did, however, bring the issue to the forefront. Of course the scientists deserve much of the credit.

  5. Gore did not discover man-made global warming.  That's why the IPCC shared the Nobel Prize with him - they studied the science, and he publicized it.

  6. He does take a lot of credit for things doesn't he? He is now busy saving the planet which he claims is his baby and needs his help. Can't but wonder how the poor baby got along before he became enlightened.

  7. Just because you first hear of something from someone, does that mean it didn't exist before then? No. Al Gore is just getting all of the attention because he ran for President. Al Gore is just the one who "jumpstarted" awareness.

  8. He didn't "discover" it, he publicized it.  They're two entirely different things.

  9. I'm sure he would take a donation.

  10. He deserves all the credit for using it for all it's worth!
