Record snow fall in Alaska (north globe) and the biggest ice ever recored in Antarctica (south globe). I guess the accurate hurricane predictions will come out soon and everyone can holler about what a horrible, global warming provoked season will be having.

  4. I gave it to him when he made that stupid movie.  I knew it was all a scam for him to sell carbon credits.

  5. Yes that award seems fitting.

  6. Yes!  He most deff deserves that award and that award only!!

  7. Congratulations, you're the one millionth yahoo to insult Al Gore.  You win: absolutely nothing.

The science is about trends.  Data has been accumulating since the late 1950's.  Roger Revelle started the remarkable series of measurements of atmospheric CO2 during the Intergovernmental Geophysical Year in 1957. As a visiting professor at Harvard University, he taught a freshman course attended by then-student Al Gore. In Earth in the Balance, Gore claims Revelle as his mentor.

Below are some sites I believe to be excellent sources of information about global climate change.  Al Gore deserves credit for promoting public awareness  -- winning the Nobel gave his efforts an added boost -- but don't quibble with the greater issues here, which are human impacts to the environment.  Impacts that are already having an effect on people throughout the world.  Impacts that will become more pronounced in the decades to come.
