Or is he just a radio commentator for a good old rant?!! Unfortunately I don't have Sky Sports at the moment so I am listening to Radio 5 live for now and I am sick of him!!!

Just a minute ago he was talking about Villa signing James Milner and implying he doesn't have a place in the team and he was trying to talk tactically-He is clueless.

Bolton fans i'd like to hear from you! Why was he banned from the Reebok? I bet he said something ridiculous like he always does!

Also, I love the way he always says 'I am not one to criticise the referee but......' and then completely slates the referee! For me, he is the symbol of all that is wrong with this country-Ignorance and hypocrisy!!

I'd listen to him in the car too but he always has a bee in his bonnet!

Anyone else think he is a pompous idiot who does nothing but pontificate?

I actually can't wait to get access to Setanta and Sky Sports again!!

The thing that really annoys me is that it's as if he seems to think that he can do a better job than them.  It's fine watching from a gantry with monitors for replays, but not so easy when you are running for ninety minutes yourself.

I bet he's never run the line in his life at all and should moderate his tone.  Yes, mistakes are annoying; but we are all human.  I wonder if he ever admits to making them.  Whilst I'm on the subject, I've tried to ring fivelive and ask if he's ever done any refereeing, but they've never put me through.

I wonder why?

Bolton is known for Reebok.  He's never worn any running shoes.  That's probably why.  He's a complete Trans World Airlines - TWA*, if you follow my meaning!

Hey footy fan, I've also heard him being abusive to "paying fans" while he's been on air - not on the occassion you mentioned - but it would suggest a pattern of a lack of professionalism because it shows it's happened more than once.

hey i totally agree with you i listen to 5 live and he really annoys me, it seems all he wants to do is moan, he was banned from bolton for branding their football ugly and saying he wouldn't pay to watch it. he also has said racist comments about eric djemba djemba and sun jihai. and he secretly supports liverpool, just listen to his commentary. his hatred for everton is evident also. and in the euro championships he threatened a man who stood up in front of him. Graham Taylor tried to calm him down but Green shouted live on air "lets see what happens when he gets hit by a lip-mike". Taylor again tried to calm him but Green continued ranting live on air shouting "I can look after myself" and "He does not scare me".he is a complete fool with a massive ego

oh yeah on his 606 show the guys who ring up always seem to be the ones who agree with him and think he is  great.

i agree the man has become a legend in his own tea cup .. go back 5 or so years and i used to enjoy listening to his comentory and views..but now hes so far up his own backside its embassing for the poor old bloke ... i think its time for the BBC to put him out to graize ..

i thought it was just me, i cannot listen to him anymore, his constant complaining and sniping drives me mad he is so negative. you would not think the man is being well payed to watch one of the best leagues in the world. i dont know if he ever played the game, but he thinks himself a real expert, and have you seen the guy he is about 20 stone in weight, he could not run up a flight of stairs. 5 live need to bring in some young blood that can identify with today's game and get rid of the moany old men.
