  1. I wish he would go play in Russia. I really don't like him.

  2. no he doesnt, he negotiated the 13 yr 124 mil deal himself he doesnt want to be traded, he has 4 fellow russians on his team and he like washington there is no reason he would want to leave, he already has a house.  He's not leaving the caps without at least one cup under his belt

  3. are u a moron where did you hear this, or u just hear things when the walls speak to you... im sorry im a caps fan and ur little topic scared me.

  4. hahahahahaha h**l no dude.  He wouldn't have signed a 13 year deal if he wanted to be traded.  It's amazing some of these rumors people think up.  Trust me Ovechkin will be with the Caps for quite some time.

  5. Maybe, but it's too early to demand anything.  He wouldn't be the first player to negotiate an enormous salary with the highest paying team, then demand to be sent somewhere else.

In Ovechkin's cae, he's really going to be handcuffed by his salary.  No contending team will be able to pick up his contract and maintain the core of their team.  In other words, a great team would have to gut itself and get rid of good players in order to fit Ovechkin under the salary cap.

  6. If he didn't sign up to be a franchise player until the year 2021, yes, I would say he wants to be traded.  He most likely hates the idea of having 9 to 10 million a year in ensured income.  Russians hate money.  Whoever started that rumor is an idiot.  Maybe he'll go back to Russia in 2031.

  7. Although the Caps did pay someone to play on another team once,(Jagr)  I sincerely don't see that happening again, and that's about the only way anyone else would be able to afford Ovechkin.

  8. The deal he just signed with the Caps this year might just speak a little louder than the rumors. Sorry, 13 years at 124 million doesn't exactly sound like he wants to go anywhere.

But I did read an article where he said he would like to go back to Russia and play someday, which would be a huge victory for the KHL, provided he isn't 40 by the time it happens.

  9. No he does not. The Capitals, are only going to get better, and that will be in large part due to Ovechkins goal scoring. The Caps have a good young line-up, with solid veterans to boot. And there's only going to be more young talented players, coming to the Capitals, in the near future.

  10. No.His deal lasts a long time he wouldn't sign a long term deal if he thought he might want to be traded

  11. You don't sign to a 13 year deal if you want to leave the team, he clearly sees a future there and clearly thinks he will get a shot at the cup there close enough.
