  1. The Amazon Rainforest (Portuguese "Floresta Amazônica" or "Amazônia") is a moist broadleaf forest in the Amazon Basin of South America. The area known as Amazonia or Amazon Basin encompasses 7 million km² (1.2 billion acres), though the forest itself occupies some 5.5 million km², located within eight nations: Brazil (with 60% of the rainforest), Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, and Suriname, as well as French Guiana. States or departments in four nations bear the name Amazonas for the Amazon. This forest represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests. Amazonian rainforests comprise the largest and most species rich tract of tropical rainforest that exists.

  2. Belongs to Brazil(you'r probably from Brazil so: que pergunta idiota, logico que pertence ao Brasil, a nao ser que a pergunta é pra ver se vc pega os americanos, hehe)

  3. Its cuts across several borders.

  4. Still belongs to Brazil...that's why the  devastation's are out of control...I'm Brazilian and unfortunately think that Brazil is not taking proper care of the Amazon...I don't think that it should ever belong to the USA,that doesn't even take care of they own backyard...  the pollution  is very high in the USA compared to Brazil....But Brazil should make a bigger effort to protect the Amazon from the killing of trees and animals...

  5. Amazonia belong to Brazil1!!!! **** people american to talk  Amazonia berlong to USA(puts einh...olha a visao que esse povo tem da amazonia acha q pertecem a os Estados Unidos...)
