  1. Never ever!

  2. No, it doesn't.  Whether intensional or not, we are keeping our people too ignorant to live up to that promise.  Norway and Sweden do a much better job at creating equality than the US.

  3. America didn't promise that all men were created equal. It stated that we, as Americans hold that truth the be self- evident (meaning obvious or plain, speaking for its self) that all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain rights like life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

By and by, America and Americans still believe that truth to be self-evident.

  4. All men are created equal until society points out that there's yet another minority that isn't being treated equally.

The sad fact of the matter is any given society will continually generate a new brand of minority, and any 'new' minority won't be protected under the law.

Thankfully we have the ability to change our laws as society itself changes (for now), and once we, as a society, can deal with yet another minority, we can offer them equal protection under the law.

The time it takes and the transition for a minority to be accepted is a bit frustrating, bu that's the way it goes.

  5. I think it does, but it is up to each one of us to live up to our best potential

  6. In many areas it does.  The opportunities to personally grow and flourish are exceptional.  Few places in the world compare to the diverse matrix of possibilities available in the United States.  Contact people from other countries and ask them if they have the access to human and material resources available here.

Educational opportunities alone make the US a phenomenal place to learn and study.

The Constitutional government allows for effective change and protects individual rights.

Things that go wrong can be corrected without coup d etat or bloodshed.

  7. If that were true, Bush would be on Death Row right now.

  8. The first answer is absolutely moronic...

But no, it doesn't.  Minorities are treated with "kiddie gloves", so to speak.  We have affirmative action, minimum wage, and quotas when it comes to hiring.  We have things like NAACP, United ***** College Fund, and BET.  We have LULAC and CAIR.  If there were organizations to send white males to college, or a group created to advance white males, that would be racist.  We have a double standard in this nation, clearly skewed against whites..

  9. "all men are created equal to certain inalienable rights" this means that although you might not have the ability to be the star QB for your favorite football team you still have the right to try out for it.  so from a mathematical point of view this statement is impossible to achieve. however, you do have the right to try to become whatever you want as long as you have the ability to do so

  10. That is an impossible promise to live up to. America comes closer than anywhere else in the world, however.
