why would anyone need defense from IRAN?  what are they going to do, send donkeys and camels with bombs strapped to them overseas?  Iran has NO military power or ability to do anything to any nation with any type of defense.  Iran's army is essentailly like the armies that were around in 200 B.C.. they have stones and what not.  Come on, stop dreaming.

yes, we can.  You make it seem like the Iranians are all-powerful, they aren't.

Do you realize what the military spending in the USA is? We're preparing for this everyday.

This is the point of the missile defense shield in Europe, to defend our allies from Iran (and possibly from Russia). Also, The US and Isreal would obviously initiate a strike on Iran if they tried to shut down the straight of Hormuz, or tried to act in aggression against any of our allies.

Honestly, I don't think the Iranians are crazy enough to act in agression against anyone--they'd be slaughtered. They have minimal military capabilities compared to most other countries, and VERY few countries would ally themselves with  Iran.

theres no way that we could survive if we attacked iran. Iran has freakin germany and russia on their side. it would be ww3 if we did that.

So are we supposed to forget about our allies? If Israel wanted to they could destroy Iran. If they fight with no restraint, and use the full force of their weapons your Iran would be no more.

We KNOW for a fact that we can defend ourselves and our allies. Sorry Iran, but the U.S. and Israel have far superior militaries. Not only that, but we can beat Iran offensively as well.

wow this entire q & a is a monument to ignorance...the guy saying Iran has stones and the guy talking about them sending camels after people need to go stand in the corner and think about why other countries think we're stupid and have crappy foreign policy.  that said, if american really stepped in militarily we could kick Iran's a$$.  however: a) im against us fighting Iran under pretty much any foreseeable circumstance (namely if they get attacked by Israel) and b) other countries and arab groups in the middle east would probly aid Iran against the west.

yes..if the military is aloud to fight the way they are taught not the way certain politicians want them to...we are the most powerful military in the world when we are aloud to fight like the military force we are trained to be not some police force in a civil war
