  1. Aminophylline (for injection) is usually sold as a 2.5 percent solution of Theophylline dihydrate in combination with 1,2-Ethanediamine (as a 2:1 ratio).  This is about 2 percent in water.

    The Ethanediamine stabilizes the Theophilline, but is not usually considered a perservative.
