Does An Expander and The Elastics Hurt??

I am getting it in a couple weeks and I am so scared it is going to hurt!

My sister said it felt like her nose was breaking the next day.

will it hurt??

does it hurt when it is getting put in??

I had braces a long time ago...the expanders/elastics probably won't hurt while they're being put in. You WILL feel it the next day, though! For me, it was not too bad, just an annoying dull ache that made chewing food not fun for a few days. You'll be fine.

Haven't had an expander.

But elastics hurt for the first hour, well they feel more like you can't open your mouth. But after like a day it's normal.
