  1. It's a lot easier said then done. I'd recommend contacting someone who works for the gov't and see what they say. I'm always seeing infomercials on this topic. I am naturally a skeptic and I don't think it's true. If I were you ( I don't have the money nor credit to buy a house), I would go down to the local court house and look to see who is in pre-foreclosure status (it's public record and free!). You can see their address and not their phone number. So you need to pay them a visit and see if you can help!


  2. With the economy you won't be able to sell anything. They sell the foreclosures by bids and they're not always that much cheaper. But sometimes you can get them really cheap.

  3. There are some HUD homes available for $100 down.  You would have to owner occupy though.  The ideal would be to live in it for 2 years while you fix it up.  Then you wouldn't have capital gains to pay.
