I’ll make several suggestions as I’m not quite clear if you are researching nursing with a view to entering this career or, if you are already training or employed in this role and are looking for research related to specific areas of nursing.

For general information on nursing as a career, including details of entry requirements, have a look at http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/  (select nursing within the A –Z careers section).    In addition you’ll see ‘Nursing links’ - this will take you to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (http://www.nmc-uk.org/ ), the governing body for nurses and midwives and the Royal College of Nurses (http://www.rcn.org.uk ), the professional union of nurses.  Contact with these organisations should also provide you with lots of information about nursing as a career as well as qualification routes.

For details of nursing research and publications, have a look at http://www.rcn.org.uk/development/librar... within the website for the Royal College of Nurses.

There’s also a wealth of material available through The Open University's OpenLearn website at http://www.open.ac.uk/openlearn/home.php - use the search facility to access general nursing research or specific topics if required.
