ok my dog goes over to his food dish takes some food out of it and then walks away lik into the living room puts it down and then eats it...and does it again and again...lol

does any1s dog do this too ...does any1 know why????>...

mine does too. idk y they do that. i think it's cute though!!! mine does the exact same thing she gets some food goes into the living room and then eats. she doesn't always though. actually she barely does anymore

My dog eats her food like she has OCD.  She does what yours does, but the food she gets out is always from the same side, and she cleans one side and moves over gradually, not eating from the middle.??? Go figure.

Yes,  I have seen many dogs do this.  It usually stems from competition for food.

Yeh. One of mine also wouldn't eat unless I turned on all the lights in the room.

yeah my boxer does that too and he also trys to tip his dish over and then he eats the food off the floor.

Yes, mine have always done it, I think mine hate the cold of the kitchen floor as they do it much more in the winter.

yep thats completely normal, my dog does the same thing..most dogs have the natural instinct to hoard food (like when dogs bury bones in the backyard, collect their toys n food in a certain area, etc etc) ive noticed its more frequent in smaller dogs which mite b because they take longer to chew up the food or feel the need to retain more because of their smaller stature, not sure on that one thou..but ya, its nuthin 2 fret about =]

My dog does this. We have never known why. we moved bella's bowl a little closer to the spot she eats at and she loves it. I think it was too close to our other dogs food bowl. he is the dominant dog so it may have been a acompetition thing, or lack of one.

yea my dog did that all the time, she still does it every now and then but not as often now.

YES MY WHITE ENGLISH BULLDOG DOES THAT... HE EVEN SOMETIMES HE PUTS IT UNDER THE RUG COVERS IT UP THEN UNCOVERS IT AND EATS IT

It seems to be something a lot of little dogs do.  My chihuahua always does it -- and there's no competition for her food.  In fact, she doesn't really do it when there are other dogs around.

My dog Dakota does that! She will pick up her bowl and usually spill the food on the ground then drop the food and eat the food she dropped and my other dog Duke will help.
