  1. You can check YouTube for proper technique...you'll see several examples there.

  2. Just check this out http://mmashow.blogspot.com/search/label...

  3. Honestly you need an instructor to learn how to kick properly - the main reason is so that they can see what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong and correct you.

I'll give you the best answer I can though:  Start in a regular lead stance (left foot forward, hands up for defense, and on your toes for movement).  Lift your right leg up and forward toward your chest while pointing your toes up.  You want to start moving your weight forward and keep balance on your left foot while you do this. Once the right leg is "chambered" - kick upward and out striking with the ball of your foot (the ridge on the bottom behind your toes).  Practice chambering and holding for balance, then practice the whole kick for speed and power.

After you kick you either bring your right foot back to beginning stance or you set it forward and be ready to defend or continue the attack sequence - moving forward with this kind of kick lands you right in punching / counter range of your opponent, so you need to be protected or continue attacking until you can safely move out of range.

Again, you may be able to learn one or 2 kicks without instruction, but you really need a person to practice with and train you.  Otherwise it is impossible to learn how to move correctly with an opponent attacking you or how to kick with someone moving away from you.  It's like playing basketball by yourself - you won't be any good when you have an opponent because the game changes when there are more players...

    Good Luck.

  4. What kick are you talking about?  TKD has several different kicks and not all of them are straight.
