Does Anybody Know Why This Helps People Lose Weight?

Somebody told me that sucking on lemons helps you lose weight. Or even putting lemons in your water. Does it really work? Is this the real reason: When you eat lemons your mouth waters and if you spit out the water you will lose weight. Because it's water weight. Is that true?

  2. Just so you know, it's awful for your teeth.  It erodes a protective layer because it's so acidic.

Lemons help with reducing water retention, especially if you boil a sliced lemon in some water and drink it warm after cooling off.    I wouldn't call that weight loss, but it is really handy for "that time of the month"!

  3. The only way to lose weight are good diet and exercise. There is a new item out that you take and it passes the fat straight through your system but causes gas and messy stools.Eating a potato average size has 90 calories with nothing on it can curb a appetite.Fluids can make you bloated but is not the same as fat.Besides if you have a buildup of fluids there can be circulation , heart or diabetes involved.I'd say it was a myth.

  4. I don't think it has anything to do with spitting. However, lemon juice is a natural diuretic and does help get rid of excess water.
