Yammy stop repeating yourself. If you are using this statement as a racist term, this is my answer , yes we are proud to have black blood in us, and if you are not using as a racist term this is my answer, yes we are proud to have african blood in us. And if u are are  using this statement as a scientific research term  this is my answer, yes we are proud to have african DNA in us.

  2. Introduction to all readers: West African slaves in Puerto Rico were forbidden from honoring their Gods, so they began to mix Christian religion with their African roots. In the late 17th century Loiza Aldea (coastal town), highly populated by African slaves, began to celebrate St. James festivities; a Christian festivity combined with their African beliefs. "La Bomba" is the interaction of dancers and tambors (drums) players based on rhythyms. The "emsemble" is composed of a lead singer, a chorus, and "subidor" tambor (high pitch) players responding to the rhythyms of dancers. The "buleador" tambor (low pitch) players keep the rhythym. The dancer challenges the "subidor" tambor player, establishing a "controversia", and that interaction is what creates the different rhythyms. One female singer will shake one "maraca" (gourd filled with dried seeds and a handle), and someone else will play the cuá  (stick to keep pace/time by hitting it against one of the drums).

Wow! That's a tall order, If you are talking about la bomba de Puerto Rico I am aware of:

    1.gracimá

    2.danué

    3.euba

    4.cocobale

    5.hoyoemula

    6.yubá

    7.leró

    8.cunyá

    9.cuembé

    10.belén

    11.sicá

    12.holandés

    13.yuba

    14.guembé

    15.babú

I believe there are 16 original documented rhythyms, I don't think "seis corrido" is one of them, but I am not an expert, just a bomba lover. I just read somewhere not long ago there are 20 rhythyms, they did not provide a list, so there you go, no way to verify such statement.

La Bomba is a dance full of energy, you will sweat, and its rhythym tells a story. The women wear flowing skirts which they fling around and they dance barefooted; most women wear turbans. The music is exilarating and contagious, and trust me, you will get up and dance.
