Does Anybody know anything about the University of Colorado at Denver?

Question

I just transferred from Southern Illinois University to the University of Colorado at Denver I was just wondering to see if anybody here could tell me anything about the school like its reputation and what campus is like etc. Also I am majoring in Psychology so if anybody knows anything about the program or knows any good professors I would appreciate that as well. I have also heard rumors that the Boulder campus is more prestigious is this true? and if so why? Thanks any help is appreciated.

CU Denver is a much better branch of the school than CU Boulder. Unfortunately, CU has quite a reputation of being a party school, since there were some pretty awful deaths a few years ago. Some guys went to parties and had stuff slipped in their drinks that killed them.

Boulder has a reputation of being a little bit hippie because of the homeless people and drug dealers there. There are a lot of people getting high in the park sometimes, I'm afraid. :)

The campus is very nice, lots of trees and grass. Denver is a much better place to be than Boulder, believe me!

I'm not sure about the Psychology program there, but I've heard it's pretty good. Anyway, that's what I know about CU Denver!
