  1. If you did abide in God and had is words abide in you too then you would not even ask for such earthly things. Thats my take on it. But anything is possiable with God! :)

  2. anything is possible with God..

  3. The question is do I believe in this verse.  The answer is yes, this is true, however you then prefaced the question with this example.  We often read the last part of the verse without understanding the first part of the verse.  We must remain in Him and have His words remain in us before our prayers are granted.  This fits very well with what John wrote later in 1 John 5:14-15.  This is the key to understanding prayer.  We need to ask according to God's will, God will then HEAR OUR PRAYER, and the prayer WILL BE (not might be) answered.  We need to study to understand what the will of God is, and when we look at the Lord's model prayer, we understand that God's will is to lift Him up first.  I don't know if your friend's beauty is of God's will and I know of no scriptural support of Him ever desiring someone to look better than He created them to be.  If it is in God's will, then God will hear your prayer and it will be answered.  The key is not to ask God to answer your prayer, but to ask God to hear your prayer and study the scriptures to know His will.

  4. I don't agree with it in that since, like a genie in a bottle type thing. After all the Bible says in Proverbs 31:30

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

It says "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you" What is His words? The Bible. So if you are living according to his words you will only ask for things the are in accordnance with His word.

  5. that should not be taken that literally it means if you ask for things like strength to get through situations or food to survive but asking for selfish vain things is different

  6. I believe in that scripture yes but your link doesn't work it should only go to the one you are talking about not a lot of choices.

  7. These people are pretty freakin' crazy.

  8. No this DOES in fact mean literal, God knows how to give gifts to His children so much better than we do. He gives actual gifts. For example this summer I made a sort of list in my mind, telling God some things I wanted/needed, and I got EVERY SINGLE ONE AND THEN SOME, in the order I listed them, with no effort from myself... and these were big things, such as a car (which, by the way, came to me for FREE).

God is real and will prove it to you. If you don't want to take the time to honestly give him the chance to, then I'm sorry but you don't know what you're missing.

  9. Could not find that video. your link did not work. And first of all anyone who prays this kind of prayer is vain. And second, was there any plastic surgery involved? No I can not believe that God would answer such a prayer. We pray for the sick, hungry, and lost, and even so it is only by his will, and not ours.

  10. Praying doesn't get you anything, if you want something you have to get it yourself.

  11. I dont not believe that God will grant you anywish if you desire the most. I have not asked alot of things but when I do it is something important and nothing ever happends or changes. I do believe in God but not the Bilbe. The Bible was written by man..and Man will change anything to control or to make things the way they want.

  12. If you remain in GOD and HE in you and your aligned with HIS word, then you will ask things that are of GOD than of self, which most humans are of self and that is why you don't get what you ask for

  13. i think God will always take care of us. I don't think if someone in real life asked that there face would be changed, but God will help you accept the way you look, and will show you that He made you the way you are for a reason and that He loves you.

I think this thing is misleading and not helpful in anyway and doesn't portray God in the right way.
