  1. There's a very healthy cookie recipe(s) on the site listed below.  The one sweetened with applesauce is very healthy and hearty so some of the family turned up their noses but the rest liked them.

  2. I've used a cake mix, 1/2 cup applesauce and two eggs to make cake mix cookies. Sometimes I top my cake mix cookie with a little cool whip, or I'll add a few nuts or chocolate chips.

They are low fat and satisfy the sweet tooth, and they are even better when frozen.

this is my personal fav, classic chocolate chip cookies

there low in fat, sodium, and only 80 calories per cookie

    3/4 cup rolled oats

    1 cup whole-wheat flour

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1/4 cup butter, softened

    1/4 cup canola oil

    1/3 cup granulated sugar

    1/3 cup brown sugar

    1 large egg

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1 cup chocolate chips

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat 2 baking sheets with cooking spray.

    2. Grind oats in a blender or food processor. Transfer to a medium bowl and stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Beat butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla; beat until smooth and creamy. With the mixer running, add the dry ingredients, beating on low speed until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.

    3. Drop the dough by heaping teaspoonfuls, at least 1 inch apart, onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake cookies, 1 sheet at a time, until firm around the edges and golden on top, about 15 minutes. Cool the cookies for 2 minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

good luck! and have fun :)

  5. This is south beach diet (dr approved) Cookie recipe:

    all phases

    Awesome Almond Cookies -ph1

4 tbsp butter (non hydrogentated, no transfat..smart balance or other of your choice)

    1/2 c splenda

    2 eggs

1c ground almonds * (I think you can replace with your choice of ground nuts, cashews or peanuts, etc)

1tsp extract -or- davinci sugar free syrup of your choice

Mix together butter and splenda, once well mixed add eggs and again mix well.

Add ground almonds (either previously ground or ones you have ground yourself-they do not have to be super fine, small chunks is fine).

Once combined place by tsp onto sprayed cookie sheet and bake at 350* F for appx 10 mins or until they are lightly browned.

    Enjoy!

Makes appx 24 cookies depending on how big you make them

    1/4 c ground almonds = 15 whole almonds (servings for 1c gr almonds...4)
