Does Anyone Know Any Good Role Play Games Which Is Like Sims, But Online?

Does anyone know any good role play games which is like sims but online? That you don't have to pay for. Plus no answers like habbo or club penguin or runescape please! The game has to be FREE!

I would say there are two possible answers that I know of.  One is Second Life, in which you can create a person, and run around (MMORPG style) and as far as I know, you can make your own home etc. (I'm only just getting started with Second Life).  Another possible answer would be IMVU - it's free, but you get more if you pay for credits.  With IMVU, you basically only chat with people, but you can buy rooms and furniture and arrange things like in the SIMS.

There's some kind of Sims Online game, but I've never lplayed it, only the basic Sims and Sims 2 (and all expansions).
