  1. I think that you should be asking about " a small log cabin " not a whole town.

In any case, try looking at the area around Parry Sound, or Huntsville, both are about a 3 hour drive to the north of Toronto.

Do a google  search for a " Ontario cottage resort " or a "rental cottage in Huntsville  " listing.

Most of the good ones were all ready reserved in the spring, for August periods. You may be out of luck, now.

    Jim B. Toronto.

  2. I don't know of any in Ontario (but that should not be interpreted as there are none. It just means I do not know of any.)

There is a little community just east of the Lachute, Quebec (about 80 miles east of Ottawa) called Camp Bourbonniere that is all log cabins. I used to live near there and my Father supplied a lot of the logs. It is maybe 4 or 5 miles from the city limits and is between the North River and the Highway . I have looked for a website but there isn't one. The people that live there are mostly long time residents.

Hope you find what you are looking for in Ontario but this is close if you don't.
