Does Anyone Know of This Type of Iron?

Or does it even exist? My stupid dad wants some type of iron or spray thing that automatically smooths and irons clothing without having a hard surface under it. For example: ironing a button up shirt thats hanging on a coat hanger. If this exists, please give any information about it. (name, where i can but it, etc.)

are you sure he's the stupid one? that's not very nice. i think he's talking about a fabric steamer.
