Does Anyone have a malfunctioning/broken DSLR they could give me ?

You could look on Ebay for an "AS IS" or "Parts/Repair" DSLR, though you most certainly won't find one being given away. There's still plenty of useable pieces in a DSLR that won't turn on or take pictures, and this has resulted in its own market for these broken cameras. You can expect anything from $40-$100 for a broken "Entry-level" DSLR to $1000+ for a broken "Professional-solution" DSLR.

Nope, I take good care of mine... try looking on Craigslist.org.

Princess is right, your best bet is probably Craigslist or maybe even ebay.  I got a cheap laptop, broken for parts, to fix my own with off ebay.

I actually have yet to see anyone selling, much less giving away, a broken DSLR camera.
