Does Anyone know what happened to Mt. Tom?

I know its been closed for a while, but there was no apparent reason... anyone know why?

Strictly speaking, the asker wishes to determine whether there is anyone in the whole wide world who knows.

And so, the correct answer to this question is that certainly there is someone who knows.  

The next question probably ought to be "How can I find the person who knows?"

I read in Skiing Magazine a few months back that it was closed because it could not compete with the larger resorts. I think it was in the editorial section and the writer was pretty distressed about the closing. He used it as a springboard to launch a lament about the closure of many small resorts.

Check some of the back issues. It was a 2007 article, I want to say the April or May issue.
