Does Australia actully need a queen?

i'm wondering if australians really need a Queen to rule this country. Queen elizabeth alexandra mary already has a country to rule, why does she need to rule this one??

She has no authority in the UK,shes a token royal and something none of us need,one day the royal family will be removed and i'm hoping it's in my lifetime,they are expensive dole spongers.from an irate Scotsman.

She doesn't really rule this country...its simply a tradition to see it that way since Britain colonized Australia like 1800s something....but I agree I think its time we got rid of the Union Jack and have a very own unique flag.. its a tired tradition if you ask me....98% of those d**n royals are scandalous buttheads lol.

I'd rather live with a Queen of Australia than a President of Australia if watching and studying politics in the USA is anything to go by.
