Does Babies R Us do black Friday?

Question

I'm now 17 weeks pregnant & will be about 7 months pregnant around black Friday & would love to save some $$ buying our baby gear. I usually do black Friday to shop for great deals & Christmas but never paid attention to all the stores, just the ones I needed! So any info on that would be great....THANKS!!

I would think so, especially if it's near a mall.  Bring a bodyguard to protect you and your baby from all the crazy shoppers.

FYI:  For those who don't know, Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving when all the stores have great sales in preparation for Christmas shopping.  People line up outside the stores very early in the morning and shop like crazy.  It can be dangerous.

Never heard of that.  Why don't you call the store and ask.  I live in California and never heard of that expression.  Learn something new everyday!

ok, Black Sunday is the day after Thanksgiving, and just about every store has the biggest sales of the year. For example, Aeropostale clothing store offers everything in the store for half off. People line up at stores like Walmart and Best Buy around 4:00am to be able to buy things at great savings.

And yes, Im sure Babies R Us participate in the sales. Stores dont participate because they want to give customers a break or a good deal, they do it because it attracts soo many people and so much business, so it would be stupid of a retailer to not participate in black sunday sales.

I'm sure they do, but I don't know for sure.  Seems like most stores do.  Is this your first baby? will you be having a shower? If so, I would recommend having it maybe right before then...I have been saving money like crazy for my baby boy due in October, and just had my first of two showers on Saturday and seriously have pretty much everything I need for the baby.  I'm glad I didn't go out and buy all that stuff, just to receive it for free as baby gifts.  Now I can save the money for later!

What a brilliant idea! I just went there yesterday and found the collection I want and they are the only store to carry it (Graco Cherry Blossom). It is also a bit spendy so it would be such a help if they are offering great deals on my favorite shopping day of the year. Every year I look up a Black Friday shopping site to earmark where I am going and for what. A couple of those are: http://www.theblackfriday.com/, http://www.blackfriday.info, http://www.black-friday.net. I always go with a game plan :). They should show the ads as soon as they are published. At least right now they are showing that selected Babies R Us stores do participate and open at 5:00 am. Good luck!

NOPE they dont . i am a huge fan of the black fiday so last year i went there to get some stuffs . please they open regular time and nothing absolutely nothing was on sale . so dont even waste your time unless they change this year.

i was so pissed cause of the time it had wasted me . if you re thinking about toys hit walmart pretty early .  BUT no no no  they do not do black friday

Check the consignment stores if you want great deals. A lot of the stuff, like activity centers looks brand new.  Once I had kids, Im also a big fan now of my Target Visa for their 10% off rewards.  As for Babies R Us, I never found great deals there and that things were priced higher than other stores to begin with, especially on gear.  But often they would have the print or style of something, for example a car seat, that no one else sells.
