I'm just wondering if I spray bitter apple spray on electric cords and furniture, will it stop my pet rats from chewing on them?

I know it works for dogs, because dogs hate the taste of bitter apple.

If not, will other No Chew Sprays for dogs work for pet rats?

thank you.

  1. No it is to strong for rats. It is made for dogs. Rats have to chew because rats teeth never stop growing

  2. Okay so I wouldn't listen to Kara, seeing as she spelled could, "cood",

I'd try vinegar the smell might deter them, or something else that's pungent to their nose but not harmful if they eat it

  3. to strong for rats cood die

  4. as gdoggy said

what you should do is add extra things like gnaw logs and other things for you rat to chew on to incourige him not to chew them :)
