Does Bleach evaporate in hot water?

for example when washing dishes will the bleach evaporate out of the hot water and be inneffective?

  1. it is possible but the water would have to be very hot and if it was hot enough to evaporate it would kill you so don't try it

    There is no specifc details in effectivness of bleach at certain temperatures but:

    As heat expands the water molecules, the chlorine is squeezed out. Therefore, processes involving a chlorine solution are incompatible with high temperatures. The process still occurs, and perhaps at an accelerated rate, but the effective life of the chlorine solution is drastically shortened.

    I have seen a few different numbers in relation to temperature but around the 90-110 mark is rather consistent in the "most effective" temperature range.
