Does Blu-ray use chroma subsampling?

Now that the war is over I'll start shopping for a Blu-ray player, and I'm just curious:

DVD used chroma subsampling, which is horribly noticeable in high-contrast areas of CG movies. Did Blu-ray make the same mistake, or will I get the full 4:4:4 information?

  1. Blu-ray is 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 depending on who you believe. (Sounds more like a football match 4-4-2 or 3-5-2).
