  1. possess as much information as you could maybe is one of the options, however it is quite time consuming, here is the resource i have ever had good experience.http://health-insurance.onlinebestoffer....

  2. You do not have to wait for open enrollment. You are covered the second you become pregnant through your husband's insurance. Just like my fiance, he asked the insurance company about me being pregnant and needing insurance and they said if we get married I am covered on day 1 if I am pregnant. I got Medicaid, though. It is not a pre-existing condition unless you've been pregnant your whole life or years .. so I don't know what the other girl is talking about but yes, you can do it as soon as you become pregnant.

EDIT --- give me thumbs down all you want, whoever you are, but I am right. I had BCBS, and got off of it when I quit that job, and now my fiance has it. I know what I am talking about.

  3. no it's a pre existing condition. You only chance at insurance is medicaid. Nothing else (unless you can afford A LOT for insurance) will cover you if your already pregnant.

  4. If you do an Individual plan you can enroll anytime- it doesn't need to have an open enrollment period like an employment group plan.  BUT if you're already pregnant, I don't know if they'll accept you.  It'd be considered a pre-existing condition.  You'd really have to call and ask.

EDIT- Whoever is giving thumbs down should really answer the question at least instead of just giving everyone thumbs down.
