Meera acted in a Hindi film some years back - in Nazar (2005).

Pakistani acteress Meera knows just exactly how to remain in the limelight forever. Her acting career was about to an end when she finally found herself a role in bollywood. It was a dream come true for Meera. She claimed that she will take over the Indian film industry in a storm just like she did in Pakistan. She totally denied that she never was at the number one position in Pakistani movies.

When Meera realized that her movie “Nazar” is nothing special and most probably no one would watch it in Pakistan. She agreed with Mahesh Bhatt’s demand to do a little kissing in the movie with the hot and spicy Ashmit Patel. Meera then released press statements that she is recieving death threats for picturizing a kissing scene in the movie. Movie wasn’t released at that time and suddenly Meera made her way into the newspapers. Unfortunately movie went unnoticed at the Indian box office. Meera’s nearly nude posters and her steamy scenes with Ashmit patel didn’t help her score anything. Currently she is in Dubai and continously sending news releases to Pakistani newspapers claiming that she is still the number one film acteress in Pakistan.

Yes, there are a fair number of examples to show that Bollywood does not discriminate on the basis of religion. As far as being from Pakistan is considered, that is a non-issue as well.

Meera, Adnan Sami (singer), Strings (band), Junoon(band), Atif Aslam (singer/actor) are just some examples of Muslim Pakistanis who have made it big in Bollywood.

Bollywood does not ban pakistani actors/actreses from acting in their movies.. i can't know mant pakistani actors though .. not a hindi movie fan :) the only name i remmebr is Meera..

There are a LOT of singers from pakistan who are extremely famous in India.

But, Pakistan has banned all indian movies
