  1. no, and no.  ever sense wwII japan has put a limit on the number of troops in their army, they have a strictly defensive army now.

  2. Strange as it may seem the two countries are linked more than the we (the rest of the world) would think.

Immigration - Japanese to Brazil and Brazilians to Japan is quite common. In fact the country with most Japanese speakers (outside of Japan) is Brazil.

Consequentially you get loads of Japanese restaurants in Brazil - it's one of the most common types of restaurant you'll see. You can also get some Brazilian churrascaria restaurants in Japan.

So although these two countries are on completely different continents, and on the other side of the world from each other, they know each other quite well - hence the (friendly?) animosity.

  3. No and no ...on a side note, do you know that the word for "Thank You" in Japanese ("Arigato") originally came from Portuguese ("Obrigado"), which is the language of Brazil

  4. Uh, Brazil is its own country. It used to be owned by the Portuguese, but it's been independent for a loooong time.

  5. I wish it did belong to us (Japanese) so that we could beat the c**p outta all the Brazilians living there. A war would be even better. >: )

  6. What ? no way ! , but there are a lot of Brazil immigrants in Japan and Korea .
