yes he does. he's talented, he's dedicated, and he's something new.

and what the h**l has he done? he's put on great matches and gotten over with the crowd despite almost zero mic time and being on the c brand for most of his career.

jeff got hit by the wellness policy, so that's his fault. matt's getting his world title opportunity soon, kennedy's injury prone and got busted for roids, mvp's getting ready for a possible world title run, and shelton couldn't get over with a crowd if he were surrounded by naked women and gave everyone free beer.

punk, meanwhile, is drug free, hasn't suffered any major injury since he came to wwe, paid his dues in the indys, and is actually popular with the crowd.

Yes, he's an amazing wrestler and great on the mic, problem is Punk's just been too limited by the WWE. Of course he deserves it, and at least it isn't the same-old main eventers holding the belt, it's time for something different, and that something different is CM Punk.
