  1. It isn't according to the State, but rather what the school district and schools decide on. Quite a few frown on it and other are accepting.


  2. Don't know about CA, but PA does. In order to homeschool in PA though you have to jump through a million hoops and cut through miles of red tape.  I'd rather stay here in NJ where we just organize our own intramural sports and homeschool free of all that interference.

    Doing a quick search for CA laws, it looks like you have to be a public school student enrolled in independent study to be able to be a (sort of) homeschooler playing sports for "your" school.
