Does Canidae give your dog gas?

Molly is rotten! Oh my gosh! And she's always sitting by me, so, I always have to smell it.

This is an every night thing. Do you think the Canidae could be making her gassy? Should I try her on something else or deal with her stinky flatulence?

It could be from the new formula. Anytime a dog's diet is switched, they can get gassy until they adjust to the new food. Give it some time and if it's still going on then I'd try a new food.

BTW: Their new formulas are every bit as good. All they did was substitue some of the rice with other equally high quality carbohydrates since the cost of rice has sky rocketed. None of the new ingredients are near what I would call bad stuff. It's still very comparable to other good brands.

I feed emmet Merrick, and he has the same problem! Molly could be eating to fast or it could be the dog food.

Well, I dont feed my dogs Canidae anymore.

Canidae changed some of their ingridients, into "bad" stuff. And that could be what is giving her gas.

Maybe you should try switching her to Innova. Thats what my dogs are on now.

If you do decide to switch, then do it slowly.

As you probably know they changed up the formula of Canidae... maybe one of the new ingredients is causing her gassy problem.

I'd switch her onto something else. Right now Judge is eating Wellness CORE, he really likes it.

I have noticed that my dogs are more gassy since Canidae changed their formula,and one of my dogs has had irritable bowel flare -ups as  well. Needless to say,no more Canidae for my dogs.I'll stick with Wellness and Eagle Pack.

I found out it was the berries I was giving them...If I stopped feeding it to them, they stopped sharting on them selves!!

but anything could give her gas... even eating too fast!

I agree with Judgers...Wellness Core is the shizznit!! (sorry, I had too!!)

After the recent ingredient change, I no longer stand by Canidae.. has your dog eaten the other formula without getting gassy? I would switch foods because I'm willing to bet that it's the new formula making Molly gassy.

I've been feeding my dogs Canidae ALS, for a long time now, and I've never had any problems with it making any of my dogs gassy!
