  1. No it doesn't, Omega3 is like a nutrient/chemical that's good for your body and can be found in many different kinds of foods.

It just so happens to be in both canola oil and fish oil.

But rest assured Canola is plant based.

  2. NO, Omega's also come from plant sources.

  3. Omega 3, 6 and 9 are all available from plant sources

  4. Canola oil is the oil of the rapeseed. It's a plant, a member of the mustard family. No fish involved in its production.

  5. No.  It is a plant extract.

  6. Nope.  There are plant sources of omega 3 fatty acids--flax and hemp among them.  How do you think the fish get their omega 3?  They eat algae containing it.

  7. No, it doesn't contain fish.  It says it contains omega-3 because canola oil is a SOURCE OF OMEGA-3.  Contrary to popular belief, fish are not the only source.  Fish don't even make it; they eat it and it accumulates in their flesh.  In addition to canola, flax seed and flax oil, marine microalgae, walnuts and other nuts and seeds are good sources.

  8. no,canola is from a 100% plant source.like lots of foods,it contains omega 3-this is something that occurs in plant foods, like flaxseed,as well as in fish.so,if ur veg or vegan, canola oil is fine to use.healthwise, olive and canola oils are the best 2 u can use,for anyone.
