  1. UMMMM.

    WAIT A MIN

PAUL HAS TO BEAT NASH FIRST BUDDY.

STEVE NASH IS GOING TO BE THE ALL TIME ASSIST LEADER AND CHRIS PAUL WONT BEAT NASH BECUASE CHRIS IS NOT A TWO TIME MVP BUDDY

GO SUNS AND GO NASHHHHHHH 13 2 TIME MVPPPPP

  2. i dont think he will, but i think he'll b in the top 5

  3. It's extremely slim, John was a pass first point guard where as Chris is as much of a scorer as he is a passer. Chris will have to play many years, probably the same or more than Stockton did to pass him and he'll have to average 12+ assists every year..

Stockton averaged 10+ assists for 10 of his 19 seasons, and was in the 7 or 8 range the other years. That won't be easty to do. I would say no.

  4. h**l yeah...but idk how long hes planning 2 stay in da league but yeah...hes gonna do it while averaging 20+ points

  5. i have to say no chris paul had a good year last year but i dont think he is that special and also John had Karl Malone his whole carrer to pass to for 18 years and i dont think chris paul and tyson chandler will be together for 3

  6. Stockton missed only four games in his entire career. I'd say its a long shot. Paul's game is different then Stockton's, Paul attacks the rim. so i think he'll miss a bundle of games here and there in his career. Stockon was a set and pull up shooter and rarely took it inside and i think added to the longevity of his career.

  7. stockton's game is not athletic as paul's and he relies on accurate set plays... that's why he led in career assists

paul is a daredevil.... his style is prone to injuries

i'm not sure if he will reach stockton's record... he might get injuries that will hinder that...

but if he stays... yes he will

  8. yes just 12 years or more to go.

  9. he has just as much of a chance as Steve Nash

  10. Sure, why not? He's already proven he's better than Steve Nash and Jason Kidd, so the next step is to go after the records. It will take many years but it can be done.

  11. What up Haloengel,

i just think it's way too early for people to treat Chris Paul as if he's a sure-fire hall-of-famer.  Yes he is arguably the best point guard in the game right now- and a definite all-star, all-NBA player- but i've seen comparisons to Magic, Oscar, and Stockton and those guys did what they did consistently over an entire career- Paul is just starting his career- and i think we need to see Paul playing at this level for at least several more yeras- before we start anointing him as the next:  Magic, Isaiah, Stockton, etc.

Statistically if Paul can keep doing what he did last year for 12 more years- than the possibility is there.  Stockton was amazingly durable and also had a hall-of-famer in Malone.

There is no question Chris Paul is a talent- i just don't like to make comparisons of that magnitude without several consistent years of play behind it.

    Nickster

  12. no because he'll have to overcome steve nash

  13. yes, CP3 has a great chance to go way pass that if he plays as long as Brett Favre.

  14. for you dumba$$s out there nash has about three good years left. unless he avgs. about 20ast a game and never misses another game for the rest of his career he'll still be short 1,000 or more ast.

  15. If he can stay healthy, definitely.  IMO he got robbed of the MVP this year and is in fact the best NBA player today!

  16. Paul will not beat Stockton's record because his style(attacking the rim and with his small body like that, there is a high probability of an injury will occur) will cost him.

  17. Nickster = Best answer.

  18. NO jose does though :P

  19. not really

  20. no

  21. if he keeps that alley-oop thing

  22. probably not. not only was stockton extremely durable but he played alongside one of the greatest PFs of all time in karl malone, so he got a ton of easy assists. it is much easier to work with hornacek and malone than west and peja.

  23. Aside from durabilities issues, i will say no because chris paul does not have a karl malone, though david west is a solid option to pass to

  24. Ask this again in 10 years.

As of now, not a chance in the world.
