  1. Many who have succumbed to pressure to engage in illicit s*x  before marriage agree that there is compelling reason not to do so.

Among the undesired results may be a sense of degradation, a troubled conscience, jealousies, pregnancy, and sexually transmitted disease.

Just as the Scriptures remind us, a person who practices fornication is “sinning against his own body.”—1 Corinthians 5:9-12; 6:18; Proverbs 6:23-29, 32.

What about premarital s*x? That too is against the moral standards set out by Jehovah. “This is what God wills . . . that you abstain from fornication,” says the Bible. (1 Thessalonians 4:3)

Homosexuality, incest, and bestiality are also sins against God. (Leviticus 18:6, 23; Romans 1:26, 27) Anyone wanting to please God and enjoy a truly happy life must keep away from immoral practices.

What about premarital passion-arousing sexual behavior? This practice displeases Jehovah. (Galatians 5:19) The mind must also be kept clean of immoral thoughts.

Jesus said: “Everyone that keeps on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28) Those words apply equally to viewing pornographic images on paper, a screen, or the Internet; to reading accounts of sexual activities; and to listening to suggestive lyrics of songs. Avoiding such material pleases God and has an upbuilding influence on one’s life.

  2. No it is a sin.  God does forgive sin but there are always consequences to sin.  God created s*x for marriage!  When we take God's gift and miss use it we have been lead astray.

  3. The Bible calls fornication a sin. Fornication covers many different sexual sins, including s*x before marriage with another unmarried person. We can not use the excuse that it isn't possible to be legally married- or religiously married, if you prefer.

  4. Religiously speaking, no.  However, it does advocate forgiveness of such an action which it considers to be a sin.

    I think it's nonsense, myself.

  5. Marriage is about love not religion....Adam and Eve had no certificate...

If ppl stay together God considers them married...But we should marry within a year imo....diamonds, romance all that and for insurance etc..

  6. christians don't control people.  If the fornicators belong to a good church, the pastor will tell them that it is sin and they should get married.  The church will not stone them to death if they do not listen.

  7. No.  Fornication is a sin - I'm an atheist and I know that.

I just happen to give a big thumbs up to that sin...

  8. This question needs to read:

    Does Christ allow.....?

    The answer is, no.

No need to be confused any longer.

  9. If and when a Jehovah's Witness wants to date, they have marriage in mind. They date only with a chaperon, and no sexual acts before marriage.

  10. No.

    But they do it anyway.
