Does Civil Air Patrol give people training to get their private pilot license?

Looking through the net, I'm seeing that they do, anyone know for sure?

They do not provide flight training. You may be able to get a discount as a member but it is not free. CAP is a very worthwhile organization. Don't let the fact there are no free flying lessons sway your decision to join.

Some CAP chapters have flight instructors, but not all. Contact your local chapter to find out.

Nope. You have to have your own plane and be a pilot rated to fly in the conditions required of you.
