Question:

Does Concerta cause ticks?

I've taken conceta on and off since the 5th grade for ADHD and now that i'm older and more calm & mature...i'm about to go off of it.

But, to go off of concerta you have to slow down your doses, you can't just quick go off of it.

I was wondering if concerta causes ticks...because many of my friends tell me i have a tick ...my mom says it does bc she is a nurse....I'm afraid that i will still have when i go off of concerta.

Answer back!

Thanks!!

  1. psychotropic meds cause all kinds of crazy problems like this.

you never know how chemically altering your brain could turn out, years later.  i'll never understand how a parent can choose to do this.

anyway, yes concerta does sometimes cause that.

and yes, sometimes it does not go away.  at least not to this point yet

  2. Yes,my son has ADD-he took concerta for a while-it contains a stimulant which can cause tics.He stopped his without weaning off-you should inform your doctor about the tic-they will probably tell you to stop the medicine completely.

  3. ticks as in kind of like little twitches, yes it is a common side affect.
