I'm just trying to post one ad--for the beater car that I'm selling. Some nut keeps flagging it and getting it removed. CL "help" says there's nothing wrong with my ad but they're not going to intervene. What the h**l is wrong with these people?

  1. There are some "trolls" that live on that site and have nothing better to do.

  2. Craig's List has become a hotbed of malicious flagging, and it is allowed, and even encouraged for no apparent reason, leading many to become disillusioned about the intent and spirit of Craig's List.

When asking for help on help forums, people are ridiculed, and insulted.

  3. The site is going downhill every day. It is full of people with child like minds who flag anything and everything to protect their ads they posted. The staff could care less. Type in a web search craigslist sucks and read the horror stories.

Beware that repeated reposting your ad might get you ghosted and your ads will not appear in the column. Which sometimes is not a bad thing because mostly what you are going to get is scammers and/or lonely people who want to play tag email but have no ability or desire to purchase it.

To answer your original question... If you can ever get any of the staff to respond it will be with a canned answer and most of the time it does not apply to your situation.

  4. Craiglist unfortunately will allow any idiot to flag anybody for anything. When I get flagged, I just put it back up as fast as possible. I have listed and reposted many ads, so many times, that I have a lot of ammo to spar with them until they get tired and give up.
