My mom is thinking of moving to Denver. I want her to bc I'd love to go there myself one day. She is worried about living outside the city and getting to her job in the city in the snow. I said there might be public transportation. Is there and can she get it from living on the outer part of the city. I read it is better to live outside the city bc of expenses.

  1. RTD can handle the snow except part of the system was shut down for 2 weeks after a coal train derailed and spilled coal onto the adjacent RTD tracks.  RTD Light Rail also goes to the south of Denver

  2. yea but these suckers keep raising the fares

  3. Denver usually does a good job keeping main roads clear after snow storms.  Still, RTD services the suburbs as well as light rail.

  4. RTD services the entire Denver metro area.  You should be able to google "RTD" and get maps of the exact areas they service.
