  1. I would say that the Descartes' proof for God fails even to escape the Cartesian Circle. Having challenged the basis for all of our knowledge as, potentially, being the illusion of an Evil Demon he cannot then claim to have a "clear and distinct" idea of God that he uses in his arguments. His Ontological Argument, although brilliant, uses a logic that he claims may be inaccurate.

    He never can escape his radical skepticism since his Evil Demon destroys all of the tools humans can use to prove anything...
