  1. I used to have DirecTV HDDVR. I have to say that junky peice of metal made me miss my shows. Sometimes it just doesn't feel like recording something so it just skips it completely and leaves a blank screen in your recordings, sometimes it only records the first minute or two. I just couldn't stand it. So we switched back to Dish Network.  


  2. I have Directv HDDVR and have never had a problem. It could just be luck.
