Does Domino's Pizza have a delivery charge?

Question

I'm wondering when I just ordered my pizza and used my card to pay, why didn't they let me add a tip to the total? I've never had this happen before. Those poor delivery guys...correct me if I'm wrong here but I myself only use my card to pay when I don't have cash on hand...I believe there is a total of 5 dollars in my purse at the moment from using the rest on freaking gas and rather than go to the ATM tomorrow morning for my wonderful cup of coffee I'd like to use that moolah on that instead of on a tip because I'll be going to the bank tomorrow afternoon for work...blah Does Domino's already have a charge included or something becaues that to me is nuts to not allow a customer to add a tip!

They probably have a delivery charge, but don't assume that goes to the driver. I have delivered pizza at a few different places and I never got the delivery charge. The store keeps it or gives a small part of it to the driver for gas.

Did you order on-line? Sometimes if you order online you have to place your tip on-line. At the store where I work tips can't be added to on-line orders after they have been placed.

The Domino's in my area has a $1.50 Delivery Charge.  In fact, all the Pizza places have a Delivery charge in my area.   Donato's charge is $1.75.

I was told the Delivery Person does not receive the full amount of the Delivery Charge, but it is pro-rated based on mileage and they receive reimbursement at the end of the shift.  They do get to keep any Tips you offer them.

No they dont charge me extra for delivery when i order it.

But i give em like 3 bucks tips

I think every delivery place has a delivery charge but that doesnt go to the drivers (from the ones ive talked to.) I dont know why they wouldnt let you add a tip....When the pizza gets delivered they give you a slip to sign and you add the tip on the slip like say its $25.00 for pizza. You add $2.00 to the slip and put the total as $27.00
