  2. Dreamworks is Disney's competition. it is not affiliated with Disney at all.

    Pixar was an independent studio that worked a deal with Disney. they would market Pixar's movies for a percentage of the revenue of the movies. you usually saw or hear the expression, Disney presents a Pixar film...

    anyway, Disney and Pixar joined forces and are now one studio. so they are now one company. hope that answers your questions.
