Does ESPN really have an east coast bias?

Or do they just cover the more exciting teams with more fans?

I noticed a lot of people believe that ESPN like "favors the east coast", honestly, come on.

I understand they should cover all teams evenly because, people are fans of every team. But I don't see how just because the Red Sox & Yankees are covered a lot (two of the most popular teamsin baseball), means that ESPN suddenly dislikes the west coast.

They normally wait until the end to showcase the redsox and yankees so people can stay tune in.

New York has a population of 8,274,527.

Los Angeles has a population of 3,834,340.

That's the number one and number two ranked cities in the US in terms of population. LA isn't even a close second. They have 5 million less people.

ESPN is going to put on TV east coast teams because, guess what? That's where the majority of people in this country live. It's called pleasing the masses. There's no conspiracy or anything like that, it's just a matter of numbers.

Look people I know you all love your respective cities and what not, but the fact is the east coast is the epicenter of the US, and NY is the heart of that epicenter. International terrorists attack NY, they don't attack Seattle. They attack Washington DC. Not St. Louis. This is where the powers that be live, where they can do the most damage, and hurt the economy the most. More money comes in and out of NY then any other city in the world. With exception of maybe Tokyo.
