Should I be getting an email from ebay saying that my package has been shipped? Do they do that all the time?

  1. Ebay will not notify you if your package is shipped, as they are a third party. You can request from the seller to send you an email when they ship it, how long it should take and a tracking number (depending on how it's shipped - it should state on the auction)

  2. The person you bought it from should let you know.  If not click on their name and go to the link where it says contact  and ask them. That is what I just did.  I always get a notice when something has been shipped but this time I didn't.  I wrote her and she said she sent it the day I paid. I got it yesterday.

  3. NO -- in fact it is not eBay that will notify you, but the SELLER

The good sellers will email you that the package has been shipped, and the tracking number that will allow you to check where your package is (if they got a tracking number)

The seller can also indicate in their selling tab -- which you will see in your tab as well for the auction -- that the item has been shipped

Unfortunately some sellers don't take the time to notify buyers that their products have shipped

  4. Ebay doesn't send out an email.

But the user might decide to.

  6. No, ebay is not responsible for notifying, the seller is. Some sellers never notify you and you have to contact them. Some even provide a tracking number.

  7. Yes!!
