Has anyone camped at Emma Wood State Beach? and if so, are we allowed to camp in tents there? I made a reservation for a group camp because there's going to be about 20 people going, but I heard that only self contained vehicles are allowed. Thanks.

  1. I have never camped there, but my California camping book states that tents as well as RV's are allowed, but you must bring your own water. That is probably why you were told it is only for RV'S. It has 94 sites for tents or RV's with great views of the ocean and lots of tide pool exploring too. In my camp book, it is rated a 8 out of 10 for the view. Dogs are allowed on leash too.

  2. Most state parks allows tents. What you could do is call that park and ask them. Also most state parks has a website and you can look at it and it will tell if they have camping and what you can uses. Have fun and be safe.
