  1. england should be aiming for a win, especially in a world cup year and they were improving with the introduction of newer, younger players in the 6 nations. as long as they dont waste their time with farrell. send him back to play touch (league) rugby!! i think they'll win but it'll be a battle.

    p.s i am in fact a scotsman!!

  2. Most of England's top players are at home. The Boks will win but don't expect too much - SA's international season is only 5 days old.

  3. none wotsoeva!

    They are not good enough.

  4. Your comparing the Northern Hemisphere to the South, so offcourse they dont have a chance ! Never did really ! and Australia have never forgiven Johnny Wilkinson, so we will NEVER support the English again ! Ever against ANYONE !

  5. There is always a chance no matter how slim. If we get in their faces early on and frustrate them everyone knows how volatile they can be. We must match them up front in the first 20 mins and build a platform to play from. The worry is the lack of penetration in the backs.

  6. The squad they've taken looks as if they're there for a big defeat and with the bug going through the squad today, they look in even more trouble but England don't usually lose by big margins, even when they look as if they should so if they can keep this tight, they have have a chance. If they can't keep it close than you're looking at a huge win for the Boks.

  7. Not a chance with, all respect.

Firstly the Bulls and Sharks just recently played in the Southern Hemisphere final of the Super 14. Thus beating top Ausie and Kiwi teams.

Secondly, the team that have been announced is really class, with one exception being Willemse.

SA rugby haven't been this strong since the World Cup in 1995.

Unfortunately, come the World Cup, politics are already interfering, resulting in a team chosen through Affirmative Action rather than on Merritt. The team may even loose their travel Visas and never make France if they don't please the Sports Minister.

But even then, the Boks look very strong.

Tests are mostly played at very high altitude (1500m) which makes fitness a top priority and advantage to the Springboks.

I predict a 30-15 to the Boks purely on this information.

But as in cricket, anything is possible.

  8. This Springbok team is going to destroy the English, in fact the South Africans will be very hard to beat this year. After the super 14 final I do not see the Roses with a change. Watch out New Zealand these Boks are rocking.

  9. you know we English compete and we English know we probably wont win but HEY!!!!

  10. It's more likely that each of the England players will sprout a f***y than beat SA!!

  11. Yeah i think England stand a good chance of turning over the springboks. The team is settling down and tommorrow will be a good opportunity to show how much they have improved ahead of the World Cup. The springboks are a good side but i feel they are being over-rated

  12. As they say it's not over til the final whistle blows, if England try and play like Sth Africa they'll be cleaned up, but if they play to their strengths - 10 man rugby, kicking to the corners etc... they have a chance and don't forget JW is still worth 9 - 12 points.

  13. Two chances, but slim left town! It's going to be a tough one and I don't see the Springboks dropping the match to England.

  14. After the Super 14 having both SA teams in the final. I think SA will be on a Roll. Wilkinson is apparently playing but I think the Bloemfontein crowd will keep the Boks on fire.

One advantage with the weather being so Cold BRRRRR the Roses might just flower

  15. England will be thrashed
