Question:

Does Enterprise use gps trackers?

I reside in Los Angeles and have to drive to Arionza (right on the border) over the weekend. I am only allowed to drive within CA from what I was told. I am currently driving a rental since my car is in the shop. Will Enterprise know if I leave the state of CA?

  1. Well, if you have an accident, or it is stolen they sure will.  Normally there is no problem driving rentals across state lines, as long as you don't take that California rental to Mexico.  Read your contract, call an Enterprise manager for clarification, and, if you have a restriction, don't take the car out of state, it isn't your car.

Perhaps the insurance you have on the rental is only good in California.

  2. A lot of the major car rental companies have GPS trackers on the vehicles so if people leave the state and it is not in the contract they will charge you for it....

Just get a car from a company that allows intrastate driving

  3. yep then your car will come to a sudden halt and shut down and lock until the enterprise police show up and beat you with wet noodles.

Just kidding But yes I think they do have gps.
